Registered agent lodgment program
The registered agent lodgment program is the part of the lodgment program that applies to income tax returns and related lodgments handled by registered tax agents. The ATO publishes it each year, with lodgment and payment due dates broken down by month and by client category, and with details of what an agent must do to qualify a client for a later date. Agents use it to plan the year's workload and to prioritise clients whose dates fall earliest. It is different from the program for BAS agents, which covers activity statements. A client who has outstanding returns from earlier years may be brought forward to an earlier due date.
