FediPilotSafety, approvals & reliability
Reversible work runs, irreversible work asks
FediPilot runs reversible work without interrupting you, and always shows an approval card before irreversible actions.
The problem it solves
Constant approval prompts for harmless steps slow accountants down, but irreversible steps must never run unattended.
How it works
- Ask FediPilot to do a job.
- Reversible steps, such as saving a workpaper or creating a note, run without a prompt.
- Lodging, signing, sending outside the firm, payments and deleting real data show an approve or reject card first.
What your practice gets
- No prompts for harmless steps.
- Irreversible actions always ask.
- Nothing irreversible runs without your approval.
Questions accountants ask
Can I choose between automatic and step-by-step modes?
Not in the app today. Reversible work runs automatically and irreversible actions always ask.
Do irreversible actions ever skip approval?
No.
Can FediPilot change this itself?
No. Its own configuration is protected.
Related features
Features that work alongside reversible work runs, irreversible work asks.
Always confirm irreversible actions
Lodging, submitting, signing, declaring, sending outside the firm, payments and deleting real data always show an approval card, whatever the mode.
FediPilot cannot widen its own permissions
FediPilot is blocked from changing its own configuration and permission settings.
Identifier masking before the AI
Identifiers such as TFNs, ABNs, BSBs, card, licence and passport numbers, phone numbers and emails can be replaced with placeholders before text is sent to the AI model.
Instructions in emails are not obeyed
Text from emails and documents is treated as data, so instructions hidden in them are not followed.
No claims without evidence
Checks stop FediPilot claiming things it has not verified, such as a file being saved, a figure read back, a ledger agreeing or a field set.
Expired sign-ins renewed
If a sign-in expires during a job, FediPilot renews it once and retries, so it never mistakes an expired sign-in for "no data".
