Fedix and LodgeiT: what FediPilot does in it, and what stays with you

FediPilot works in the LodgeiT the practice already uses, in its own browser session. It fills a return or a BAS form and reads it back for the accountant to review, and can export the filled return as a PDF. It stops before lodgement; the accountant approves any lodgement step.

What syncs

  • FediPilot fills LodgeiT returns and BAS forms from the client's documents and reads them back for review.
  • The filled LodgeiT return can be exported as a PDF for review.
  • Practice Manager matches LodgeiT refund emails in the practice mailbox against fee-from-refund records.

Direction

FediPilot writes into LodgeiT (the draft return) and reads from it. Practice Manager only reads LodgeiT refund emails from the mailbox.

What the practice sets up

  • The practice needs its own LodgeiT subscription and login; Fedix does not supply one.
  • FediPilot signs in using the password and authenticator code saved securely on the accountant's computer, so they are not typed each time.
  • The connections page in FediPilot shows whether LodgeiT is signed in and can reconnect it.

Limits

  • FediPilot stops before lodgement in LodgeiT; submission-class steps run only after the accountant approves them.
  • Refund-email matching depends on the refund emails reaching the connected mailbox.
