Signed, then reviewed: sending a return for e-signature (Beta)
Fedix Shorts - 26 seconds - published 25 October 2026
How does a prepared return get signed by the client in the Practice Manager?
This is a Practice Manager feature, marked Beta. The accountant drops in the prepared return and Fedix proposes the client record and the invoice. The accountant confirms the match before anything is sent. The client signs electronically through the client portal, and the status moves from sent to viewed to signed. The signed return then queues for the tax agent to review, and lodgement stays in the accountant's own software. Practice Manager does not lodge.
Transcript
The return is ready. Now it needs the client's signature. Drop it into the Practice Manager, and it proposes the client and the invoice. You confirm the match, before anything is sent. The client signs in the portal, and the status moves: sent, viewed, signed. Then the signed return waits for your review, and you lodge it yourself. Try it free at home dot fedix dot ai.
The clients, names and files shown in the video are fictional. FediPilot prepares the work; the accountant reviews it.
